Are you practical, hands-on, and passionate about bike mechanics and cutting-edge e-bike tech?

As Power2Cycle continues to grow, we’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Bicycle Technician to join our expanding team in Norwich. We’re open to applications from experienced bicycle technicians who can bring strong technical knowledge to the workshop, as well as candidates earlier in their career who possess a strong mechanical aptitude, the right attitude, and a genuine desire to learn.

This is a varied, hands-on position within a close-knit team. Alongside servicing, repairing, and preparing bicycles to the highest standard, you’ll also support the wider day-to-day running of the showroom when required. We’re looking for a true team player who understands that every role contributes directly to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

🔧 What You’ll Do

  • Servicing & Repairs: Carry out bicycle servicing, maintenance, and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on e-bikes and conventional cycles 🛠️

  • Bike Builds & PDIs: Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), safety checks, and build bikes for showroom display, customer handover, and delivery 🔍

  • Upgrades & Accessories: Fit and replace components, accessories, and performance upgrades accurately and safely ⚙️

  • Workshop Operations: Maintain accurate job logs, manage timelines, and keep the workshop clean, safe, and well-organised 🧽

  • Showroom Support: Answer phone enquiries, assist customers in the showroom, and support the sales team during busy periods 📞

  • Stock & Website Assistance: Help receive deliveries, support stock control, and assist with photographing bicycle stock for our website 📦

  • Practical, reliable mindset with pride in your workmanship

  • High attention to detail and commitment to working accurately and safely

  • Good communication skills and confidence speaking with customers face-to-face or on the phone

  • Positive, flexible, and can-do attitude with a willingness to help across general showroom duties

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills

  • A genuine interest in bicycles, e-bikes, or mechanical systems

🌟 Bonus Points (Not Essential)

  • Previous bicycle workshop or mechanical experience

  • Formal qualifications such as Cytech certification or manufacturer training

  • Familiarity with e-bike drive systems and diagnostics
