GasGas MXC 5 – Real Ride Review 🚴
I put the MXC 5 through a proper test: 48 miles on Marriott’s Way and the Bure Valley cycle path… in the rain. 🌧️
✅ The motor’s acceleration was instant and responsive — even with a brutal headwind I was still averaging 15.5mph for most of the ride.
✅ The Eagle AXS drivetrain didn’t skip a beat, shifting crisp and clean even when it was caked in mud.
✅ The bike turned heads everywhere I went — loads of people stopped to ask about it.
Then it was off to Sheringham to see how it handled the hills. 🧗
The high-torque motor made the climbs feel effortless, keeping me in zone 1 heart rate even while tackling the highest hill in Norfolk. Starting from a dead stop on steep gradients was no problem either — something a non-powered bike just couldn’t manage.
Out in Blickling, the suspension came alive, smoothing out rutted fields and bumpy trails so I could stay focused on the ride instead of the terrain. 🌲✨
Bottom line? The GasGas MXC 5 eats up distance, flattens hills, and keeps the fun high even when conditions are against you. Rain, mud, wind, or rough trails — this bike just keeps delivering. 🔥
A big thanks to Sid for this fantastic Review!
